Well, Shiver Me Timbers !!!

We've been flappin' our breeze hol' on and on about all the buildin' we been a doin' - and gone off and completely forgot about all the udder stuff millin' bout the Isle.

So here is some of the udder stuff, a little look behind the sails - as it be.

he past weekend was filled with fun, sweat and GROG a plenty. We have just about finished the heavy construction to the Haunted Maria, so we have been moving into our secondary prop out phase and adding the decor work to the set dressings.

In addition to all of that, a small group of the Dark Night Players got together around a little Wolfe Bros. make up and started working out several new concepts and ideas for the troupe.
 
The ever so lovely Kara has stepped of with a truly wonderful idea for a troupe theme - Evil Dolls. This one is sure to be a hit with the girls in the troupe. Check out the initial make up experiments.

Most all of the photos here are taken with a flash indoors, which does really show what the actual make up looked like outside or under the lights we had set up - most were much darker and revealed all of the depth brought out by the individual line work.

      Megan (our own Haunted Maria) jump up for a few make up experiments. Playing around with wood tones and aged looks.
             
Mister Christian volunteered for a little skull practice.      
             
  Kara got her hands on our would be Captain and started playing with some twisted clown concepts - clowns with fangs !  
             
    Different sides show different appliance methods.  
             
  Isn't she just precious. Don't ya just love it when their cute and demented.    
             
  A little skull-duggery going on 'round here me thinks !

Shrub the Sixth Sea Scourge and Blood Thirsty Bill (the man will eat anything off of a cow - we mean anything, living or dead) soak in a little GROG while the rest of the crew paints away.

  Kara getting herself into the character - hey by the way - Kara you got a name for these dolls yet ? Inquiring minds want to know.  
             
All in all, the Dark Night Players are starting to come together and this seasons show "The Pirates of Landrun Isle" promises to be over the top.
