Eerie Archives - What's Old is still Dead !

Aye, a fine mornin' me finds myself a floatin' in me matties, and me hopes yours is just as well; blow the bung - rum for everyone - I be feelin' a bit saucy ta'day.

Another raucous and roaring workshop social was held at Port Crown Royal for all the Haunted Maria Crew and the Dark Night Players. After the administrative functions were concluded (Kara had to watch Gilmore Girls) we moved right along to planning our Social Events and DNP Live Tours,  you can see the current schedule ---> HERE

Once again many of our crew decided to perch themselves down in the ol' make up chair and sponge away the evening. Or as I like to call it - Maheato Rouge

Well, it be grey clouds and a vile wind these nights me ol' salties. But we not be men afraid of venturing into uncharted seas and stormy weathers.

And you all know we just couldn't let the weekend go by without checking out some of the haunts which have already opened ! The Halloween weekend may still be more than 30 days away, but now is the time to start the feeding the darker side. So the Eerie Industries Crew and our brethren at Gobilhaus.com decided to trip our way out to Mead Manor and Cutting Edge to kick off the season. The GROG was a flowin' in this cursed band and a good time was had by all.

We even managed to get a little work done for this years show " The Pirates of Landrun Lane ". Things are really starting to come together fast now, so don't wait - get your barnacle tattered hide over to the Haunted Maria before she sets her evil sails to the winds of Davy Jones.

We be a plannin' a weekend o work for ye swabbies. Scary Dave looks to be on deck filming the progress we have been making, so lets start showing the landlubbers how much we gotten done !

We are still on scheduled for a regular 10:00am to 2:00pm build out, both Saturday and Sunday. This weekends plan is for a dry fitting and final construction of the Haunted Maria. We will be blocking up the walls and making plans for the sails, rope work and the facade of Port Crown Royal.

Just a final reminder, the workshop being held at Reindeer Manor on September 10^th is quickly approaching.  The featured guest is none other than our good friend, Chuck Williams. The night begins at 5pm and includes a full two hour seminar by Chuck Williams, a screening of his feature film Dark Walker, dinner of fresh grilled hamburgers and homemade root beer, lights on tours of all the attractions at Reindeer Manor, and a meet and greet with Chuck afterward where he will answer questions and sign autographs. Well, Shiver Me Timbers.......the response to the “ Dark Night Players ” has been wonderful, thanks to all those that have come together to get a great troupe started.

The Dark Night Players will be having a small get together tonight, to discuss a couple of new troupe themes and we will be playing with some different make up techniques. As always if anyone wants to come be a part of the fun, just contact Dean or Greg.

We have, also, been busy working on this seasons show the " Pirates of Lnadrun Isle "; we have just about finished up with the heavy construction and we have started working on the prop out phase and decors for the set dressings.

Arrgghhh...and just who are these “ Dark Night Players ” ?

Eerie Industries has received a lot of calls and mail regarding the Dark Night Players as of late so here’s a brief update…

In an effort to bring forth a mature professional interactive acting troupe to the Dallas-Fort Worth market the driving forces behind Eerie Industries are bringing together individuals with a passion for theatrical performing, creating unique iconic characters, detailed wardrobe, stimulating scripts and storylines to entertain Halloween enthusiasts this fall.  Several area attractions are lining up the Dark Night Players for media nights and special events in October so if you’re interested in joining this exciting new interactive troupe of performers OR want to take your current group of actor’s up a notch…contact dean@eerieindustries.com or greg@eerieindusties.com for more details.  The hands of time are ticking and soon there won’t be enough “players” to go around for 2005!
